Summary
Yu Le had no choice but to return a debt he owed with the school’s one and only hunk, Gu Yan. The moment he stepped onto school grounds, Gu Yan targeted Yu Le and forced him to stay back every day after school to get beaten up. Gu Yan only did this to exact revenge upon Yu Le, but this “revenge” eventually “evolved” as Gu Yan found himself deeply attracted to Yu Le to the point that he could no longer lay a finger on him.

... and the second season of the Anime did a better job of pacing than I thought they would. I think they moved the Elf village arc from before hostilities with the Principality began to the inter-war period, aka the start of the second season, and used that to pad it out. Good call if that's what they did. In any event. Good season.
