Summary
A sci-fi retelling of Wagner's "Ring of the Nibelungen", starring Captain Harlock. The series was first serialized from 1990 to 1991 in Chuukosha Fan, a used car magazine (!). A sequel was published for free directly on Shinchousha's webpage from 1997 to 2000, making it probably the first online manga.
Living with the Loathsome feelings of Bitter Satisfaction is far better than helplessly watching the Corrupt and Self-Serving service their Greed at the expense of the very lives of others. He's all in on Revenge, not Justice. He isn't looking to give them what they deserve, he's looking to stop the monsters, permanently. Whatever, it's all Sophistry in the end.
