Summary
Chitose Morishige is a 12-year-old seventh-grader with no friend in the world. Her father, Professor Morishige, builds a robot companion for his daughter to ease her loneliness.
The only problem is that Ichika Robata, the android, is built much too lifelike that Chitose believes she's a normal human girl who either ran away or was kidnapped by her father. Ichika attempts repeatedly to prove that she's a real robot, with hilariously disastrous results.
That has to simultaneously be the most fucked-up and yet perfect form of courtroom procedure for a bunch of animals... force everyone who is involved to eat something that makes you fart and use that smell profile to verify the mindset of the people involved. It's like a real-time lie detector with out the fatal flaw of subjectivity and bias... you can literally tell if someone is lying by their stink as well as their entire emotional state. Awesome.
