Summary
Takumi Ōta, a 35-year-old husband who loves his wife Mizuki, their children, and their family life — except for one ongoing issue: the couple has grown sexually distant. Despite creating a happy family environment, Mizuki often declines intimacy due to fatigue or everyday stress, leaving Takumi increasingly anxious about their future as a romantic couple. Determined to revive the spark, Takumi makes the bold declaration that he wants to make his wife his lover again — turning his marriage back into a relationship full of affection and desire.
I'm guessing the author finally realized just how deep the plot-hole was that he had dug himself into. Funny how it required an exposition dump in the form of a letter to move things along to the next story-arc.
