It's a compilation of oneshots by mangaka Oshikiri Rensuke which have previously appeared in the horror magazine Yuu (). Most of them have a similar feel to the stories in Fuan no Tane+ and Kowai Hanashi: short, spooky tales that almost feel like they could happen to you, a perfect fit for this blog!
I'm guessing the author finally realized just how deep the plot-hole was that he had dug himself into. Funny how it required an exposition dump in the form of a letter to move things along to the next story-arc.
