Summary
The light is gone. Unable to escape the darkness, Pieta repeats the same day. Every day she walks to school down the same road, through the same rain, then has the same conversation with her friend Danae. Eventually, she finds happiness in the repetition. The days carry on as normal, until one day, her routine chat with Danae takes a different turn: "What?! You can remember the today that happened yesterday too?" Despite their bleak situation, the girls reach towards tomorrow!
... and the second season of the Anime did a better job of pacing than I thought they would. I think they moved the Elf village arc from before hostilities with the Principality began to the inter-war period, aka the start of the second season, and used that to pad it out. Good call if that's what they did. In any event. Good season.
