Summary
Sendai City, Miyagi Prefecture— It was here that Chiaki met Keisuke, and here where they promised to marry. After graduating from university, Keisuke joined one of Tokyo’s most prestigious trading companies. Though their long-distance relationship wasn’t easy, Chiaki believed in the love they shared. But… Keisuke changed in Tokyo. Loud, cliché betrayals every weekend. Endless lies to her face. All it brought her was pain and humiliation. Still, she swallowed it all in silence. Yes, she knew… she knew everything. And for five whole years, she let him live in his fantasy. “Keisuke… the day is coming. I’m looking forward to it.” Only three months remain until their wedding day.

... and the second season of the Anime did a better job of pacing than I thought they would. I think they moved the Elf village arc from before hostilities with the Principality began to the inter-war period, aka the start of the second season, and used that to pad it out. Good call if that's what they did. In any event. Good season.
