I can understand that she want to be included in the group, but she didn't really give a proper thought on what a professional ask her to think about or what it means to rise a dragon at all. She just answered with her actions: going and taking in a dragon without someone who actually know dragons, forcing her stance with the "implicity banned" and don't giving a damn about the dragon in the arms at all are clear signs that she see dragons as accessories.
